Minnesota Translator and Interpreter Cooperative

Who We Serve

Our members come from an eclectic background with wide-ranging interests and unmatched experience. This allows us to provide language services in a variety of settings and specializations.

Legal Settings

A missed word or delayed interpretation can have life-changing consequences for your clients. Our members meet the highest qualifications for state and federal court interpreters, with a great depth of experience and knowledge of legal terminology and court procedures. This ensures professional and accurate interpretation and translation every time. When preparing your client for a trial, a deposition or a mediation session, you can be confident that they will receive the full benefit of your expertise.

Immigration Interviews

We understand the critical importance of precise communication during USCIS interviews. This helps ensure that limited-English individuals are able to fully support their petitions during adjustment of status, residency, asylum and citizenship interviews.

Agriculture

Our members are well-versed in the terminology and have special expertise in everything from irrigation, urban farming, soil health and sustainability to farm finances, sales, land purchases and more! We have the equipment to meet you where you are – out in the fields, in a classroom or at a conference.

Hospitality Industry

A great guest experience starts with great staff training and preparation! Your team’s ability to work with trainers and materials they can actually understand shows up in the guest experience. Our highly qualified interpretation and translation team allows you to overcome language barriers and communicate seamlessly. Whether you are working with a multilingual workforce to provide food safety training, team building or HR communications, we’ve got you covered!

Community Engagement

We offer a sliding scale to non-profits. Our goal is to facilitate wider participation in public life by supporting the creation of multi-lingual spaces. We interpret at neighborhood board meetings, community listening sessions, for environmental organizations and more.

Conferences

We have experienced conference interpreters familiar with in-person, virtual, or hybrid platforms.

Testimonials

“I am hugely impressed with the quality, speed, and precision of the translation I received on a lengthy and technical document. The customer service is extremely friendly and respond promptly to questions. I was promised the translations would be ready on a certain day, and they were in my in-box even a little early. The pricing is extremely competitive. I am officially the MN Translator and Interpreter Coop’s biggest fan. They are kind, professional, and fun to work with. I’ll be back.”

“We deal with complex legal and policy issues that carry real implications for people across the country — and it’s important for us to reach people who read about news and current events primarily in Spanish. MNTIC has been a fantastic partner in helping American Oversight connect with our Spanish-speaking readers to tell the story of our work, the lawsuits we’re pursuing, and the information we uncover quickly, accurately, and compellingly.”

"We at St. Paul's/San Pablo are so grateful to have the opportunity to work with MNTIC. The interpreters are knowledgeable, adaptable, and, most importantly, culturally competent. They understand what it means to serve the community and get the nuances needed to work with communities where English is not the primary language. Our community sees MNTIC interpreters as a part of us. We give thanks for the wonderful work MNTIC is doing. You will be satisfied with their partnership."

"Minnesota Translator and Interpreter Cooperative is an invaluable resource to our organization and program needs. They have provided us with services for a wide variety of programming in our community, with topics ranging from anti-racism to food preservation, and everything gardening in between. From their inception, they have gone above and beyond to make their services accessible. Working with their interpreters has always been easy and enjoyable. Their timeliness and professionalism contribute to our great working relationship. MNTIC is our preferred partner for interpretation and translation and our top recommended agency to any organization, especially those interested in supporting locally owned businesses that uplift cooperative values."

"As a bilingual legal services provider, I have spent 25 years interpreting, using interpreters and coordinating interpreters for low-income Minnesotans in crisis. It is important to be able to rely on professional-level translation and interpreting so that we can correctly assess our clients' difficulties, and so our clients understand their situation, and trust the information and services they are getting. I know I am getting that level of diligence and care when I request services from Minnesota Translator and Interpreter Cooperative. It is important to me and my clients that the Cooperative has a vested interest in leveling the playing field for limited English speakers. MNTIC recognizes this is the right thing to do regardless, but also has a personal understanding of this value because a majority of the interpreters themselves have backgrounds in the communities we serve. Additionally, as an interpreter, I value that my colleagues who work with the Cooperative have a voice in their work-place and fair compensation for their hard work. I whole-heartedly recommend MNTIC."
